Quality Health Care– Access for Everyone ?

For this week the topic in the headlines– health care reform.

For those of us who worry what might happen should we get sick, and really bad– health care reform and what that means continues to be on our mind.

Health care reform, and finding a solution for approximately 45.7 million uninsured, is urgent.

President Obama during the campaign promised to address this issue; and just about six months into his presidency he’s moved boldly to address it . But in the long run will this mean anthing?

Will those who oppose any type of ‘reform’ succeed at keeping the dialogue so negative that nothing gets done in Congress? As voters all of that is in our hands. How will we proceed?

Consequently the questions are: should healthcare be a right or a priviledge? Does the private insurance coverage that you have– give you the confidence that quality and access that is affordable will always be at your finger tips?

Most have not had that experience– and believe increasingly, given the high cost associated with health care– that possibility disappears.

Now, its your turn to chime in. Join the conversation. But a year from now would anything have changed?

I support the President's quest for healthcare reform. Some of the goals he has I definitely agree with, such as reducing the cost of health care. Allowing people to keep the Doctor they have now or the ability to choose someone else, and to make it available to all americans. This is a lofty and acheivable goal I believe as ordinary Americans not be disuaded by disinformation and search for the truth themselves. President Obama I feel lucky to be alive and to witness a President such as you who is so comitted to ordinary people. Commander in chief I love you and you family and pray for your wellbeing daily. God bless you President Obama.I cxlose with these words of someone whose name I do not recall."For when the one great scorer comes to write against your name, He'll write not that you won or loss but how you played the game".
