Health Care Reform: Beyond the " Politics………!"

Form a Joint Session in September to Joint Summit in February, 2010– the issue of Health Reform continues as a hot debate. What happens finally?  I say given the dynamic of the political game as its being played, Reconcilation is in clearly being considered. But we will see– wont we. Who wants to go silent into the night after this–

Was an interesting Summit.  Now whats next from the Democrats? We already know the GOP wants to start over. Starting again? Not possible.

President Obama was again in this setting–stellar!  But we are talking results. So its time for him/the Democrats to move boldly.  Will we see them striking the iron while its hot?  In short, the word at this juncture: REconciliation. Or will be fooled into something else? Join the conversation.

Your opinion on how the parties ‘dueled’ at this  public fight?

I watched the discussion and I believe it was informative. First of all, it allowed me to observe the information the Republicans had also to listen to how it would impact the current bill that the democrats have. A WHOLE YEAR HAS GONE, AND IF THE OTHER side were participating as they should, they would be able to agree or disagree with some of what is already in the bill. This notion of starting over is absolutely ridiculous. Time is of the essence in anything and we the people deserve better. WE need a health care coverage just like the house and senators have. The last time I checked, we are the ones who go to the polls and afford them the opportunity of getting this top notch health care coverage. However now that the people's business is to be addressed there are all kinds of stalling. It is time for the people we elect to throw we the people a good bone at least every now and then, since the lobbysts have them all wrapped up most of the time. Health care should be a right. We are better off when the society is healthy. Mr President and those responsible please pass health care reform now. Delay is danger.

POTUS' encyclopedic knowledge of the facts (you lost, Lamar Alexander) and command of the room (w/o teleprompter) was awesome. No American–politician or citizen– can ever say POTUS has not given GOPs every opportunity to come together through compromise. Now reconciliation has become the true option. GOP obstructionism has been laid bare.

It is pure mendacity to claim the US has the best healthcare worldwide when it denies access to more than 30 million of its own citizens. Incremental legislation is a stall tactic and is shows a lack of the moral imperative against over a third of our citizenry.

As an Independent I believe, politics and deep racism has overtaken the need to DO THE RIGHT THING. Thanks you , Mr. PResident , for leading us out of the quagmire of indifference.
