A Crazy Political Season– With Democrats Under Fire…!!

This is a crazy political season and if the results from the mid-terms elections were not bad enough for  Democrats, this week saw signs of implosion. A juggling for positions of power. Yep, but its all political!

Not to mention, former Speaker of the  House, Nancy Pelosi was challenged by  Blue Dog Democrat, (Congressman Schuler, D.N.C), and Congressman Charlie Rangel (D-NY) was hammered before the Ethics Committee, and might be censured on what many in his district consider an infraction.

As is pointed out in The Hill, Rangel has no one to blame but himself.  But others think its an overkill and a power play to humiliate and embarrass the 20-term Congressman.  That said, whomever thought seniority carried a special tag, think again.

All this drama  takes place among Democrats as sixty (61) one new members of the co-opted  Republican Party  storms the Halls of the Capitol  for orientation and  receive  keys to a room/office, many hoped they would never have. But in the words of Shakespeare– “deed is done”.

The big question: Will the Democrats  push back.  Show them!!  As I pointed out weeks ago– a ‘lame’ duck  session  still has power to do something meaningful things as we talk legislation. So will they show the Republicans  what they are really about on the subject of: tax cuts for the rich,  extended unemployment benefits for those in  badly in of those $$ to keep food on the table, among other things?

We will see.!! A crazy political season can still  bring  surprises.  Big ones with the stroke of a  pen, too. So will Democrats show  they are made of ‘sterner stuff’? There is no time to wobble…. bend, look-back. The opposition is  close behind.   However, with Nancy Pelosi  already chosen as Minority Speaker, what we know for sure, the battle is on.  So bring it On!!

The Democrats must realize that in everything there is an opportunity. If they understand that, then they should be getting themselves ready to let the republican Congress prove to the American people that they have their interest at heart and are ready to do the people's business.I can't wait to see if they will still be in a No stance. Now that you have the power, show us Republicans that you have America's interest at heart not the corporations.

Waiting for the jobs the GoP have promised. Yet they have no plans. But I'm waiting.
In two years I predict The rethuglicans they will out. Back to being in the political shadow. Better still, they may join Sarah in Alaska. No chances she could beat Obama. When the drama ends–she will prove to be just all talk. Empty. John McCain what were you thinking?
