Some of us are familiar with the line from Shakespeare’s ‘Julius Caesar’
“If you have tears to shed, prepare to shed them now.”
Don’t not be fooled by all the gimmicks that will be thrown to us from this new House, the 112th Congress, as thus far– there are no talk of jobs. One would think, the message sent last November has already been forgotten. That message was about providing more jobs for America’s middle class. John hold back on the tears. Probably its our time to start crying, ’cause this group on the HILL seem not to have a clue.
So the question remains: Will Speaker John Boehner Deliver on Jobs? But is all the drama thus far, just about a ’pig in a poke’ ?
I am waiting to be convinced the GOP really has a plan to deliver something meaningful– more than talk to repeal health care reform, and cuts to Social Security and Medicare. But of course, I’m not holding my breath on that. Waiting to see the ‘comeback kid’ in command. And as the president rightly states –some just cannot just stand on the side and be bomb throwers. Mr. Boehner its time to lead… and yes, I am all ears.
Politics and polititrics to win have a place in our democracy, but when millions of Americans are losing their homes, jobs and access to health care…lets get on with the agenda. Now, provide those jobs you promised.
Calling a vote to repeal health care reform is not the way to start. That’s about political drama. Theatre!! Again to the new Republican majority in the “House” –where are the jobs?
