The Job Market: A turn around finally…?!

For February the reports are: 192,000 jobs were added.  Good news. But how far-reaching? Clearly there is a dip in numbers– the lowest it has been since 2008.  Yep, a victory sign is appropriate every time someone gets a job despite the fact about  another thirteen and half million remains unemployed. Check this report.

Across the country (Main street) many are encouraged that finally we are turning the corner on this recession.  Joblessness has dipped to under 9 percent. Yet, while the news is encouraging I dare say in my part of the world the numbers of the unemployed remains the same or worsens– for both the high school graduate and the college graduate. So on jobs– a turn around finally?

Absolutely hard to tell! But given what we have been experiencing, any glimmer of hope– representing fewer people looking for jobs is encouraging. That said, most of us believe that the new Congress and its top leader — Speaker John Boehner, have unlike what they think have not been focusing on creating jobs as was promised.

Evidently,  they’re not aware the recession continues.
Surprisingly, they are on a bizarre political trip  to chop more jobs particularly of government workers as they attempt to engage us on remedies for a cultural issue of the day. Now, there is more being said about women and abortions than creating jobs. Certainly, as elections, 2012 approaches the cultural war will begin– as a GOP candidate seeks to not only make President Obama a stranger in his own country, but also responsible for everything that has gone wrong with this economy.

Of course, in the coming months there will be much talk about the need to cut spending. There is an argument in support of that when one thinks of the current deficit ($ in trillions). However,  when in the name of limiting spending, government workers in particular are yanked from jobs all over the country. In this article from USA  today, I ‘m in agreement with the president.  Cutting the budget shouldn’t be used to hurt the economy. How many times over can one shout that from the mountain top?

It’s time to talk nothing else than creating jobs and more jobs. The politics around: abortion, DOMA will clearly heighten the temperature faster any time these subjects come up… but in the end, the topic will come back to ‘jobs’ where we can find one? And relevant to everyone whether he/she lives  in a Red or Blue state.

The news for February on the job-front is encouraging.  No two ways about it.  Mr. President let’s keep pushing for more. The right to ‘work’ should be right, not a privilege.

GOPers' we the people need jobs. We do not need you to legislate about women's bodies.Let them do that for themselves. What have you done lately to assist the president to move this country along where jobs are concerned? That's what we want to hear or learn from you.
No longer are people just marching to the polls and voting as if they have no brain. Record is being looked at or compared and where there is no action for the people there will be no reward. It is time to help this country improve. Of course I mean the plight of the working class. All benefit when many are working so it should not be too hard to gelp to get the economy going. Many people or so-called PhD's turned a blind eye when the country was about to go over the cliff, then all of peoples tax dollars were transferred to the wealthiest entities. Starting with the banks. We need jobs.Bring them back to AMERICA NOW.
