"Happy Easter": Even Though the ‘Frills’ are missing…!

There was a time when Easter weekend was the time to first say thank you–  to the ‘Creator’ and then in a U-turn think, its time to splurge, if even  a little.  But not this year. This Easter  is without the ‘frills’. Believe it.

Sadly we are still in a recession.   Bombarded with politics and politrics  as we think government and budgets, ridiculous.   Buying that new dress/hat, not possible.

Neither is taking that trip or having brunch with friends.   Not to mention a visit to the  Spa.  All these a No-no.  Why?  Its Easter without  frills.  Bare bones!  Straight! Easter on the Rocks!  That’s the reality  for Easter 2011, as the top two percent (2%)  enjoys a tax break they really don’t need.  Yes, we all want to be rich. But greedy– have it all at the expense of the rest?

Yet, as we think Easter 2011 there is still room for Hope.

You don’t think so!  Reflect. Think Paul Ryan (R- Wis) and his other Tea party friends, and you realize with their aim to shove grandma and other seniors into a back room without windows and food, you must think hope.  And transformation!  Elections 2012 are here. You voted in the GOP with a majority in  the House.  We are seeing/feeling the consequences.

Elections do have consequences.  But we must ride on “Hope”  for change. It can come.  But not without your involvement or political savvy.  Yes, Happy Easter…  and politically,   experience it– just the way you like it.
