Politics –Guide to the 2012 Presidential Candidates (P2012)
Its that time of year again when most or– all of us will be celebrating July 4, Independence Day. And so we should.
But behind the scenes–celebrations. Politics and the unique fireworks that accompanies it be included in all conversations at the grill wether its in your backyard or at a in a park near you. Yes ,we will all be talking Elections 2012 although we will pretend its too early in the game to be engaaged. Get to know the names in the Republican line up. They are several, the latest among them, Congressman Thaddeus McCotter (R-Mich).
President Obama and his team are already using this quiet time to do some fund-raising as another Republican join the ranks of those announced. The last reports show Congressman woman Michelle Bachmann (R- Minn) to be cooking up a storm. But does she have the knowledge base to answer some of the tough questions that will be asked? Not convinced she can! Yet, at this time she steals headlines from Mitt Romney. Rembember him, he ran before. But will McCotte, newest kid on bloc– steal the headline from her in the following weeks?
Congresswoman Bachmann who’s unlikely to win the nomination, reportedly is running neck and neck in her fund -raising efforts with camera ready — (yet boring) former governor and TV star, Mitt Romney. Who’s likely to emerge to challenge President Obama remains the big question.
However, this is your/our opportunity to know the candidates. The link at the top of page gives you the answers you need as we think national politics. For now its Michelle and the ‘eight’ dwarfs on the Republican side. But that could change. Much ‘noise’ on the Republican front. But how many outside that predicted conservative base will attend the party?
I look to see a ‘giant’ emerge, evenutally. Looking forward to a real horse-race. Again, President Obama seem ready to take on the fight. I say ’bring it on’! On that note “Happy Fourth ” when it comes.
Your knowledge and participation in our political system makes every July 4 meaningufl as we think past and future.
So prepare for the future, continue the political dialogue– get to know the candidates!
