Breakdown in Deficit Talks– Default or Downgrade..!?

The  Debt Ceiling impasse, real or imagined, I have had enough!

For all these many weeks that House Republicans are flexing their ‘muscle’ it would appear they aren’t yet tired of the games to make Obama a one term president.  Not to mention, the debt was raised seven times when G.W. Bush was President and under the “president” of all Presidents, the late Ronald Reagan, the debt ceiling was raised seventeen times. But this time around we are facing default /downgrade. Yes, America cannot pay its bills?

So what’s  going on this time around?  Nothing meaningful to lift the ceiling under Obama’s watch seem to be happening?  Is the overall concern about ‘deficit spending’  really about an attack on the poor/middle class?   Or about race and politics?

What I know for sure, we must have a deal/compromise without deep cuts in Social Security/Medicare/Medicaid.  Such cuts are unacceptable when we talk/believe in shared sacrifice. Yes where/ how will the rich give up on some  of the tax loopholes they enjoy?

All that I have heard  thus far is all about politics and politricks. Republicans trying to make sure President Obama never gets around to talking ‘jobs’ the real concern of most Americans.

Now all talk is about debt ceiling.  August 2, is also around the corner.  Deadline before the financial bottom falls out.  Its time to turn the page on this.

Well Mr. President, we are  waiting for a resolution. To Speaker Boehner and the rest of the Republican caucus, we got your message. Its about your re-election and again, about making President Obama a one term president?  The breakdown in deficit talks is about default/downgrade. Neither  options for this great nation is acceptable!

The GOP continues to manufacture a crisis at the expense of the American people, and their refusal to work with the President to resolve this problem is pure hogwash.

I have had enough, I hope you have too!  What do you think?  Join the conversation!
